We want to be completely straight with you about how Hive & Veil makes money, because our independence is the whole point of this site.

How it works

Some of the links to products on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same either way.

What it does not change

An affiliate commission never decides what we recommend. We are not paid by any manufacturer to feature, rank, or praise a product, and we will tell you to buy the cheaper option, or to buy nothing at all, whenever that is the honest answer. We only link to gear we would point a friend toward, and our verdicts are written before any link is added. If we ever cannot recommend a product honestly, you will not find an affiliate link to it here.

Why we tell you

A guide that earns trust without backlinks or brand deals has to be honest about its own incentives. That is why this page exists, and why our reviews are allowed to say no. If you ever feel a recommendation reads like a sales pitch, tell us at hello@hiveandveil.com and we will take a hard look at it.
